Copywriting & Editing
Freelance Copywriter & Editor
May 2021 - Current
As a freelance copywriter and editor, I love working with clients and getting a sense of their literary voice. Creating quality copy in a polished and error-free work is what I strive to provide every time. Learning new platforms and working with publishing or marketing teams keeps me on my toes, but it's nothing I can't handle. Organizing deadlines and delivering material in a fast-pace and remote work environment somehow never gets old.

ASTRA, Scholarly Journal
January 2021 - May 2021
My time as writing intern for the McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program had me heavily involved in academic editing - my personal favorite. From developmental edits to a final proofread, this internship was everything I had hoped for as an aspiring editor. It was also my first experience in the publication process. Formatting the scholarly journal ASTRA and organizing the works within concluded an amazing journey.

Volume One, Local Newspaper
January 2021 - Current
As a writer for Volume One, I have the opportunity to research and pitch stories to share with an audience of 30,000+ readers. While an intern here, I was trained to follow AP Style standards and corresponded directly with the Associate Editor regarding article revisions. Today, wordsmithing a wide array of articles helps expand my writing style and witty co-workers develop my creativity.
